Watch Playing for Change Day 2017!
The idea is to show people enough different cultures using music to uplift themselves, so that we can see the connections we all have.
- Mark Johnson (Co-Founder of PFC)
At O'Brien School we know the challenges that can come with cultural differences, but we've learned that these differences make up some of the school's greatest strengths. On Playing for Change Day this past weekend, O'Brien School celebrated two of the different cultures that make up our school with traditional Maasai songs and an American pop song.
We appreciate the amazing work our friends at Playing for Change do all over the world to empower youth and create shared experiences through the power of music.
Thanks to all who helped make this day happen, including our volunteer music teacher Emanueli Msuya from Moshi, grade 1 teacher Teacher Teresi, Sandra Selva who first told us about PFC Day, and everyone at the Playing for Change Day Foundation.
