why do you want to climb with us?
I’ve been wanting to volunteer for a long, long time. When my girlfriend mentioned that she was doing this hike, while raising funds and awareness for the O’Brien School, I had to join in on the fun.
The fact that I can do something I love while raising money for the school’s operations, educational programs, and women’s empowerment activities is extremely rewarding.
What do you think will be your biggest challenge?
Mt. Kilimanjaro itself.
I’ve done a few hikes in the past including Machu Picchu, but I don’t think it will compare to this. Excited to see how difficult this mountain is physically and mentally!
